Dubai stopover

No dramas getting away from the UK today - the sun was even out. A good flight to Dubai - just over 6 hours with 2 red wines, a tasty Lamb dish  and a couple of movies (Dinner for Schmucks and The Last Song) to past the time. I have managed to fill in 3 hours already by having a wander around and watching people spend their money. I have another 6 hours to fill in - hopefully I will get a couple of hours sleep while I am in the Marhaba Lounge (nothing flash but at least there are some comfy seats, tea, coffee etc). The guy lying on the couch near to me is snoring!
Just going to see what is happening with the Ashes. Will the England bowlers strike back?
I can't believe you are having snow up in Newcastle. I am actually a bit jealous.
Next stop Bangkok...

  1. After the snow comes the slush – remember that bit? So far, so good though: crisp, clear and cold here this morning, in that very pretty way.

Enjoy Bangkok and keep on posting :-)

  2. As crisp, clear and cold as the beers in Goa (and Thailand) I hope :)

In a pretty way, of course..

  3. Hey chuck, have you got to Bangkok yet? Making me dream of lovely sauna heat of the place. Pretty here, but brrr. Even the coast is getting smattered. Hot chocolate is my drink of choice right now.
